An outdoor play area for the young ones, ample fields and gardens to run around, lots of wildlife displays and dinosaur fossils to look at inside the Natural History Museum at Wollaston Hall, ducks and swans to look at, and if you’re lucky a herd of wild deers too!

2. Affordable pricing:

For the four hours we were there, all we paid for was GBP 5.00 for the car park. Since we brought our little picnic, we didn’t have to spend on lunch but we did buy ice creams. Visiting the indoor Natural History Museum is free, with many interactive experiences for kids and adults of enjoy. There are guided tours of the Hall and gardens if you are interested, which are reasonably priced, and kids usually go free. The outdoor play area is free too, making it an excellent choice for a budget-friendly weekend excursion.

3. Convenient amenities:

The park boasts ample car parking facilities near the entrance, ensuring a hassle-free arrival. Additionally, well-maintained restroom facilities, shops, cafes for refreshments and designated picnic areas add to the convenience and comfort of your visit.

4. Natural History Museum and other exhibitions:

We had such a fun time exploring the fascinating exhibits showcasing a diverse collection of natural wonders, from dinosaur fossils to interactive displays on wildlife. It’s a fantastic educational experience for the entire family. Snap a photo with a life sized giraffe, touch a hippo’s teeth and even look at some live stick insects and Madagascar cockroaches.

5. Beautiful natural surroundings:

Immerse yourself in the stunning natural beauty of Wollaton Hall Deer Park and Gardens. There was so much for us to explore from the picturesque flowering gardens, the glistening lake to the expansive deer parks. The kids stayed occupied licking their ice creams, collecting acorns, chasing squirrels and finding the ‘perfect’ walking stick.

Opening Timings:

The park and gardens are open throughout the year, allowing families to plan their visit at a time that suits them best. Wollaton Hall Deer Park and Gardens welcomes visitors from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM , with access to Halls and Museum until 4:00 PM. Timings are subject to change during weekends, public holidays and seasons. 

How to Get There:

Getting to Wollaton Hall Deer Park and Gardens is a breeze, thanks to its convenient location. It is 3 miles west of the city centre. Follow the brown signs from the A52 or the A6514, or from the M1 take J25 and follow the signs.  If you’re traveling by car, simply enter the following postcode address: NG8 2AE into your GPS or smartphone navigation app. Public transport options are also available, with regular bus services stopping near the park entrance. 

Car Parking Facilities:

When it comes to visiting family attractions, convenient parking is a top priority. At Wollaton Hall Deer Park and Gardens, you’ll find ample car parking facilities located near the entrance, including parking for blue badge holders. We paid GBP 5.00 for all day car parking via the app RingGo.
