It’s something I’m personally trying to work on myself for a while now. When I was asked to review the brand ‘The Skin Story’, just like anything I first wanted to learn a little more about their ethos and the science behind their products. Scrolling through their online store and reading about their journey I quickly learned the brand has a wide range of products catering to all skin types and texture, and works with a set of quality key ingredients first that then go on to make their way into their products. The ‘ingredients-first’ approach and the transparency about what goes into each of their products made it very easy for me to learn about what product would suit me best without being overwhelmed with the choice at offer.

Here are 5 quick skincare tips with The Skin Story products, that I have easily incorporated into my skin care routine, helping me to achieve healthy and glowing skin.

  1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

One of the most important things you can do for your skin is to drink plenty of water. This will help keep your skin hydrated and looking youthful. I always carry a water bottle with me throughout the day to remind myself to stay hydrated. I have also been enjoying using the Aqua Boost All Day Moisturiser spray bottle and carry it with me whenever out-and-about. A quick spritz of this liquid moisturiser, with its fast absorbing formula provides the skin with long lasting hydration. It smells wonderful too!

Key Ingredient includes Sodium PCA. This ingredient functions as a humectant, meaning it helps skin’s upper layers both draw in and retain moisture, resulting in a more supple, youthful appearance.

2 . Simplify your skincare routine

You don’t need a complex skincare routine to achieve healthy skin. Keep it simple and choose products that are quick and easy to use. For example, a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer with SPF, and a night cream. These three products will help keep your skin clean, protected, and hydrated.

My simple routine consists of the Illuminating Day cream with SPF 15, and the Hydrating & Soothing Gel Mask for night time. Included in my double cleansing routine for days I have makeup on, I use the Ginger & Cinnamon Face Wash

I love how the day cream gives a matte like finish to my oily-combination skin. It includes Niacinamide, known for improving skin texture and protecting against environmental factors, and also Retinol, known for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The night cream has to be my favourite, since the gel like cream enriched with Witch hazel and Fucogel gives my skin some intense hydration it deserves.

3. Always wear sunscreen

Sunscreen is a crucial part of any skincare routine, even on cloudy days. Applying sunscreen daily can help prevent premature aging and skin damage. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 and apply it 15 minutes before heading out. 

The light-weight Moringa Sun screen lotion comes with SPF 50 and has a non-greasy feel to it. Also Moringa is known to have many healing and hydrating properties.

4. Get enough sleep

A good night’s sleep can work wonders for your skin. Make sure you’re getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night to allow your skin to regenerate and repair itself. Getting enough sleep can also help reduce stress, which can contribute to skin issues like acne and wrinkles.

5. Add a serum to your routine
