Hi! I am Khushboo, an ex-expat who has recently relocated back to the UK after spending 13 wonderful years in forever-sunny UAE. A country where my husband and I experienced the early years of parent-hood, explored everything the bling city of Dubai had to offer, enjoyed the availability of infinite amount of halal food and the country where this blog initially originated. Living in UAE has given me experiences, opportunities and most importantly, friends that I would have not experienced elsewhere in such a short amount of time.

Azmu was gifted to us in the summer of 2015. Along with sleep deprivation and unlimited amount of laundry, we’ve also experienced what unconditional love and innocence is all about. Fast forward three years, and we’ve been gifted Azu in the summer of 2019. He has completed our family of four.

From the days when I was a science-geek student at University, I have always either been studying or working, so being a Stay-At-Home-Mum is an alien concept to me! There was a time when I went back to work after my maternity leave, with Azmu at nursery, but then decided to give up my work, and instead invest my time in being a full time mum. I am raising loved, confident and nurtured kids, and I am proud that I have been present during to their early years to watch my children grow. Time, I know that I will always value and never get back.

In 2023 we booked one way tickets back to UK to join my family here and continue making memories together. I’m excited to share our journey with you as we navigate this new chapter in our lives. From exploring new places to adapting to a new culture, I hope you’ll join us as we embrace this new adventure.
