Tutorial: Make a Child’s Number Book | Ink and other mediums

A BIG hello to another photo tutorial on Mom and Child crafts with Pretty Paper Studio, as your Design Team Member. Did you get the chance to see my previous tutorial, where Azmu and I created beautiful home décor frames with inspiring words, using the stamping technique. If you havn’t already, be sure to click on the link, as I take you through a step by step tutorial on how you can use cardstock, inks and various decorative elements to make beautiful personalised frames.

As for now, I’m going to tell you about this month’s new theme and it is Inktober. At first, I thought Inktober is only limited to alcohol inks and stamping inks, only to discover later that it is also the ink in your pen that can count towards the theme of this month. I wanted to create a craft with my daughter that would not only look pretty, but was very functional too. Hence, for this month I have designed a 3D Numbers Book.

Ink Number book

Azmu is a visual learner and a colourful numbers book is a lovely way to teach her all about numbers and counting. I have also added various decorative elements that give a 3D feel, and are fun to touch and play with while learning. Pretty Paper Studio is always stocked with such beautiful 30 x 30 cm cardstocks, so creating a mini 15 x 15cm Numbers Book was very exciting. In terms of inks, I have used the Tim Holtz Distress Inks Mini Kit and Ink from the Tombow Mono Twin tip pen
